Made it down to Guatemala! The flights weren’t bad at all. We are an hour behind here so I landed 9 pm Guatemalan time. There were no lines leaving the states and the flight was smooth down to my layover in El Salvador. They even fed us a meal. Chicken and crunchy rice… The only irritating thing was that they had movies on the plane and I couldn’t watch them. Yes I had headphones, but they are the dumb iPhone headphones that don’t work anywhere! Why didn’t I bring regular headphones too 🤦🏼♀️. Other than the torture of watching a soundless movie and everyone around me sleeping when I wanted to sleep, the flight was fine.
From El Salvador to Guatemala was only a 30 min flight. But the airport there was packed to the gills with people that didn’t speak any English. I really need to work on my spanish… But as soon as I got to the exit of the airport in Guatemala the Vians (the couple I am living with) and Michelle were waiting for me! They are so sweet and hospitable. We stayed in the city last night so we can go shopping today for stuff we need. Like a Sim card so I can post this… And contact you all!

Just finished shopping in the city and are heading home. Got my internet a $3 meal and groceries!
I learned within the first 5 minutes of being with Michelle that we are going to have a great time together. She has such a colorful way of describing things which I have to share with you! (She gave me permission)
Michellisms of the day:
Scorpions: they are not animals, they are mini Satan’s!
I love Papaya! But it smells like belly button lint.
That’s all for now 🙋🏼♀️
So excited to see your adventure!
