Buenas Días! I know you are overdue for an update but I haven’t had much to say. Service has been amazing per usual, and Michelle and I come from from service with all kinds of food every day.
The people here are just so appreciative! And we have two new publishers! Johanna who has been studying for 6 months and is an awesome person! And little Edwin who is probably around 9 years old. His mom only got baptized 4 years ago and she has been pioneering for 3. Everyone here has a great story.
Michelle’s study, China (pronounced Chee-na) is amazing. She is 16, still in high school, and comes to all the Sunday meetings. She is bummed she cant make the midweek meeting because it is Friday at 2:30, during her school day… But she told us at her study on Sunday that she wants to go out in service, because her aunt, who just got announced as a publisher Friday, comes home from service so happy! I just wanted to cry. And she is only in chapter two of the teach book!
We studied yesterday with the little 10 year old Natalie, she is super smart. Her cousin lives with her, he is the 11 year old publisher we have and wasn’t able to have his study which bothered him that he sat in on ours. I just can’t believe how much these kids want and are willing to learn. They love Jehovah and the Bible! Here is a picture of them…
I’m still working on my studies but I’ll keep you posted. As of right now I have 3 that I believe will continue and another possible one if I can find her home. Lol
I figured I’d give you some interesting things I’ve learned about Guatemala since I’ve been here. They burn everything down here. There are now landfills, you burn all your trash in your yard or in the street. I feel like these people must have lung damage. But that’s not the only thing they burn, they burn their sugar cane fields! I didn’t know this but to harvest the sugar cane, you first burn the field and then cut it down. It hasn’t rained here for months but these people know their fire. To my knowledge, it never gets out of hand. I always see the smoke from a distance and it seems ver ominous, but we got to drive by a field the other day.
Also, I think you can eat from every single tree here. It may be the garden of eden, I don’t know. There are so many new fruits I’ve never heard of before! Just on our property we have almonds, coconuts, and magos like crazy! It’s mango season and I’ve never eaten so many mangos in my life! There are also chia trees, cashews, and tamarind trees.
These are cashews! The people here eat the fruit and throw out the nut! Haha. But I can’t stand the fruit, it smells and tastes like dirty socks! Here are some service pics! 🤟🏻

Wow!! What an adventure! We are so happy you’re enjoying the preaching work in distant lands. Keep up the awesome work! Look forward to more updates!!
